I wanted to be able to make money without giving up my time.

I wanted to create a financially free life where I would never have to work for someone else again but never have to think about money again.

More than that, I wanted to prove that I had made the right decision not to go to college.

I needed to create my own self-worth so, that I could become a successful business owner without working for minimum pay or getting into debt to get a degree.

So, this was the day a fire was lit into me.

I tried so many ways to make more money.

First, I invested in a real estate license to have my business shut down before it even started with Covid.

At this point, I had invested thousands of dollars I didn’t have and was down to my last few hundred.

I was desperate, still not wanting to return to working for someone else.

So-

I then pivoted to an online business model -

Dropshipping.

It was what everyone was doing at the time, and it made sense in my mind. That I would be able to sell a product online and make millions.

So, with that hopeful vision, I went all in.

However, the thing most dropshipping gurus leave out when they boast about their income is how much money it takes to be successful with the traditional dropshipping model.

You have to pay for ads, inventory, and influence.

I was straight-up failing and legitimately down to my last $400. The only money I had to my name.

I knew if I kept at this, I would be down to 0 and forced to return and work another minimum-wage job.

If I didn’t get this to work, I really had no plans for my future or a lucrative path.

This had to work.

I spent countless hours scouring the internet trying to find an answer to my problem:

And by the grace of God, I stumbled upon a business model: print on demand. By scouring YouTube for an online business model to do.

This business model solved my issue: If I could fulfill orders AFTER a customer purchased, I would not have to spend money upfront buying inventory that may never sell.

After discovering this model, I became obsessed with it. I spent days researching how to sell with this model, how to make it work for free and looked to see other people having success.

This is where I found Etsy.

Etsy was the answer to all of my problems.

Etsy was a way to get virtually free traffic, no ads necessary, to products made from order.

Etsy solved every single issue with the traditional dropshipping model, being broke and needing to make money.

That was the push I needed.

For the next 8 months, all I did was research, create products and sell.

After implementing several frameworks to get this business model to run smoothly, I did what I had always thought was almost impossible:

I had my first month where I made $10k.

It was a snowball effect after.

$10k turned to millions.

So, I would only look to extremely successful shops I wanted to be like.

Step #3: Create blueprints for the hops you want to be like to build your listings.

Step #4: Build that shop by creating listings.

But, I am not the only one who has succeeded with this method.

One night, I was up to almost 2 am.

I needed to hit 30 listings and was only at 23. It had been one of those tough days where finding motivation was hard.

I knew I would crash and burn out if I kept on like this.

I had to make a change if I was going to sustain this aggressive sprint.

When I first started, there was not a lot of information about this business model.

I would spend hours upon hours and days upon days researching my competitors.

I needed to understand what they were selling, what types of products they were selling, who they were selling it to, and what success they had.

Once I was able to gather this information, I was able to make changes in my shop to drive success.

There was not a great way of doing this besides scrolling through Etsy, making estimated guesses, and going onward.

So, I did what I needed to do.
